SQE Points Program® to ensure ongoing personal and professional growth. Our
onsite foremen are well experienced at dealing with multiple projects and
people - to ensure the success of the job and the satisfaction of the
customer.
Each Shiner Roofing, Siding and Windows employee participates in the
SQE Points Program®. This program measures an
employee's performance in the areas of Safety,
Quality, and Efficiency and rewards those who
reach the companies strict performance goals.
Each roof is rated upon completion and then
points are assigned to the employee. Employees
are rewarded based on the average number of
points at the end of each month. The SQE Points
Program® ensures continued customer satisfaction
as Shiner's business needs grow.

Kevin Shiner, CEO
In the summer of 1980, Robert Shiner
formed Shiner Roofing and began
working on the neighborhood roofs.
Kevin, at that time a high school
student, worked along side his
father part-time. After graduating
with a Bachelor’s Degree in
Economics from George Mason
University, Kevin continued with
Shiner Roofing, while simultaneously
running a local marketing firm. In
1990, Kevin formed Shiner Roofing,
Incorporated and began working in
the business full-time where in his
current capacity as President of the
Company, he is responsible for all
facets of the business and
activities, supervision of
Operations, Production, and all
activities related to the
organization and structure of Shiner
Roofing. Kevin is a Panel Member for
the Professional Roofer’s Advisory
Council, a Business Member for both
the National Association of the
Remodeling Industry and the Metro
Washington Better Business Bureau,
and maintains a Quality Master and
Select Shingle Roofer status with
the CertainTeed Corporation.

Joseph M. Francis, President
Joining the company back in 1990,
Joe has served as a Laborer, Roof
Mechanic, Crew Supervisor, and
Salesman with Shiner Roofing before
becoming the first Vice President in
1994. With his extensive technical
knowledge and experience, Joe
oversees the Sales Department and
all daily sales operations. Joe is a
Panel Member for the Professional
Roofer’s Advisory Council, a
Business Member for both the
National Association of the
Remodeling Industry and the Metro
Washington Better Business Bureau,
and maintains a Quality Master and
Select Shingle Roofer status with
CertainTeed Corporation.

Jessica Amuso, Vice President
Jessica
Amuso began her
career at Shiner Roofing, Siding and
Windows in the summer of 2003 as a
Payroll Clerk and Office Manager. She
quickly advanced within the organization
and rose to the position of Marketing/
IT Director in 2006. In 2008 she was
promoted to Vice President. As Vice
President, Jessica directs all office
operations including accounting
procedures, scheduling and general
office administration. Jessica also
oversees all marketing initiatives,
information technology and business
development for the company.
